Course Description

In this course we will navigate the murky waters of history's most talked-about events, from monumental scientific advancements to chilling political assassinations and everything in between. Through the study of conspiracy theories, this course offers a unique perspective on history, challenging students to question whether these events are mere products of natural progression or the result of clandestine manipulations by a select few.

Throughout history, critical events have repeatedly prompted us to question their origins—were they inevitable or intentionally orchestrated? This course peels back the layers of some of the most puzzling and controversial moments in history. We begin by defining what a conspiracy theory is and then venture into specific cases like the dramatic claim that the moon landing was staged, the persistent mysteries surrounding UFO sightings in Roswell, and the enigmatic circumstances of JFK's assassination.

As we progress, we explore the lesser-known but equally fascinating Philadelphia Experiment, believed by some to have bent the laws of physics in ways still not fully understood. The narrative then takes us on a historical quest with the Knights Templar in search of the Holy Grail, shedding light on medieval legends entangled with historical facts.

The journey continues with a look at the cryptic symbols on the American one-dollar bill, rumored to be linked to the Illuminati's vision of a new world order. The course also tackles modern conspiracies, such as the debates surrounding global warming and the contentious theories about Princess Diana's tragic death.

Each topic is not just a lesson but a deep dive into the complexities of historical narratives and the power structures that shape them, inviting students to critically assess the information and develop their own informed perspectives.
